About
Didgelab is a software that helps you compute a didgeridoo shapes with specific properties. You can define the toots and the tuning of the resonant frequencies. Then, the software will compute a didgeridoo shape that is close to your specifications.
Didgelab is part of Didgitaldoo. The core of the software is open source and free to use. However, I found out that nobody could use the free software, because it requires a certain knowledge of programming, mathematics and acoustics. Therefore, I created this website, to make it easier to use. This website however should be self-sustainable to cover its costs and, therefore, is not free.
Originally, Didgelab was created by Jan Nehring as a hobby project during the COVID19 pandemic. It builds on the pioneering works of Frank Geipel. Didgelab grew to the bigger Didgitaldoo community that connects didgeridoo builders, 3d printing enthusiasts and others worldwide.
